More on beaujolais wines

Our region
The Beaujolais/Southern Burgandy region is one of the most attractive in France. Traditional villages nestle in rolling hills covered in vines. If you are visiting with a camper van the Maison des Bulliats has small field tucked away in the vines for you to stay the night! Here are some links to help you find out more!

Régnié-Durette Village
The twin-spired church of Régnié-Durette dominates the vineyards of the Régnié cru wine.  A thoroughly delightful Beaujolais cru, rather less known than the others because it is the most recent to gain cru status.  In fact, the Régnié cru is arguably Beaujolais’ best kept secret.  You can sample it in the very appealing and atmospheric village caveau.  The mairie, where you will receive a warm welcome, organises many events of interest to locals and visitors alike.  Drop in, you may find that one of these coincides with your visit to the region.

Beaujeu Tourist Office
Especially for attractions and accomodation in Northern Beaujolais, our region.

Lyon Tourist office
Rhone Tourist office
If you want a city break, Lyon, situated at the confluence of the Saone and Rhone rivers, is fantastic.

Rhône Alpes Tourist Office
The Alps are accessible. You can see Mont-Blanc from Maison des Bulliats!

Some of our suggestions for things to do in the area apart from sampling the great wine!
– Visit the Château de Drée
– Walking in the lovely “Monts du Beaujolais” culminating in the Mont Saint Rigaud

Camper vans
Indeed, if you are coming through our region by camping car we offer a quiet field with lovely views where you can stay the night. Wake up to a lovely view of the twin spires of Régnié-Drette Church accross the vines!
